Ignition Coil

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiring from ignition coil terminals. Connect an ohmmeter across coil terminals. See Fig 1. On Integra, reading between "A" and "D" terminals should be 1.2-1.5 ohms. On Legend, reading between "A" and "D" terminals should be .3-.4 ohms.
  2. Set ohmmeter in x1000 range. Connect ohmmeter leads to ignition coil positive terminal and coil tower terminal.
  3. On Integra and Legend, resistance between "A" and secondary winding terminals should be 9040-13,560 ohms. If readings are not within specification, replace ignition coil.
