Idle-Up Solenoid

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature (cooling fan comes on). Disconnect wire harness connector to idle-up solenoid valve. Start engine. Using a jumper wire from a 12-volt power supply, connect power source to Black/Yellow (positive) wire terminal and ground to Blue/Red (negative) wire terminal of idle-up solenoid.
  2. Vacuum signal should be present at the idle-up valve vacuum hose. If not, check vacuum hose and hose routing. If vacuum hose and hose routing are okay, replace idle-up solenoid valve.
