Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes: Introduction

NOTE: Per Acura Service News number ASN 0390-03 oxygen sensor connector should not be disconnected while investigating Codes 1 and 43. Backprobe the connector to obtain voltages during these tests.

If no faults were found while performing various check and inspection steps covered in BASIC TESTING article, go to RETRIEVING CODES in this article. If no fault codes or only pass codes are present, proceed to TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e. ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
