Fuel Pressure Regulator Cut-Off Solenoid Valve

  1. Engine coolant temperature must be greater than 221°F (105°C) and intake air temperature must be greater than 176°F (80°C). Disconnect 4-wire fuel pressure regulator cut-off solenoid valve connector.
  2. Connect voltmeter positive lead to Black/Yellow wire terminal and negative lead to Light Green wire terminal. Measure voltage within one minute after starting engine.
  3. If voltage is present, replace cut-off solenoid valve. If voltage is not present, move negative lead to body ground. If voltage is now present, go to next step.
  4. Check for short in Light Green wire between cut-off solenoid valve and ECU. If wire is okay, substitute a known good ECU, and retest. If problem goes away, replace ECU.
