BRAKELIGHT Switch: Integra

  1. Disconnect 4-pin connector from brakelight switch. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between brakelight switch terminals "A" and "B". See Figure . Continuity should be present. Check for continuity between brakelight switch terminals "C" and "D". Continuity should not be present.
  2. Depress brake pedal and hold. Check for continuity between brakelight switch terminals "C" and "D". Continuity should be present. Check for continuity between brakelight switch terminals "A" and "B". Continuity should not be present. If continuity readings are not as specified, check brake pedal height. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT  under ADJUSTMENTS  . If brake pedal height is okay, replace brakelight switch.
