Preliminary Checks

Before trouble shooting by symptom, ensure fuses No. 13 (7.5 amp - 1992 only) and No. 20 (7.5 amp) located in underdash fuse box are okay. Also check fuses No. 35 (50 amp) and No. 39 (20 amp), located in underhood main fuse box. Repair or replace fuses as necessary. Ensure horn and tachometer operate properly. Repair or replace horn or tachometer as necessary.

NOTE: When diagnosing vehicle by symptom, check possible failures in the order given. All 1991 models are equipped with a 13-pin cruise control unit connector. All 1992 models are equipped with a 14-pin cruise control unit connector.
