Using ABS Tester

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Block wheels, and set parking brake. Connect ABS Tester (07HAJ-SG00100) to 6-pin inspection connector. See Figure , Figure or Figure . Ensure vehicle is on level ground and automatic transmission is in Park or manual transmission is in Neutral.
  2. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level. Bleed high-pressure fluid from maintenance bleeder screw. See Figure or Figure . Start engine, and release parking brake. Turn ABS tester mode selector to "2", "3", "4" and "5" positions. Depress brake pedal firmly and press START TEST button. At least 2 strong kickbacks should be felt from brake pedal. If kickbacks are not felt, repeat this step.
  3. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level. Perform system function test. See ABS FUNCTION TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS.
