Anti-Lock Warning Light: Notes
ANTI-LOCK warning light will come on for any of following reasons:
- Brake fluid pump runs longer 2 minutes.
- Vehicle driven longer than 30 seconds with parking brake applied.
- Rear wheels locked longer than specified time.
- Wheel speed sensor not transmitting a signal.
- Operation time of solenoid valves exceeds a specified value and control unit finds an open circuit in solenoid circuit.
- Output signals from control unit are not transmitted to solenoid valves.
- Temporary loss of traction due to excessive cornering speed or starting from stuck condition (mud, snow or sand).
- Vehicle driven on extremely rough road.
- Low battery voltage.
If low battery voltage caused problem, recharge battery. Remove ABS fuse No. 2 for 3 seconds. Reinstall fuse, and check light. To reset light for any other condition, turn ignition off. ABS system should reset automatically.
