Idle Speed: Integra

  1. Start engine and operate until cooling fan comes on. Connect tachometer. Disconnect 2-wire connector from Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV). See Fig 1 .
  2. Check base idle speed with gear in Neutral (A/T in "N" or "P") and all accessories off, including cooling fan. Turn screw to adjust base idle speed to 550-650 RPM. See Fig 2 .
  3. Turn ignition off. Reconnect 2-wire EACV connector. Remove hazard fuse at battery positive terminal for 10 seconds to reset ECU. Start engine and allow to idle for one minute.
  4. Check idle speed with engine under load (A/C on) and under no load (A/C off). Idle speed should be 700-800 RPM. See IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS  table.
