Map Sensor

  1. MAP sensor is located on firewall. Unplug connector from MAP sensor. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Yellow/Red and Green/White wires. If voltmeter does not indicate approximately 5 volts, repair wiring between MAP sensor and ECU. If wiring is okay, replace ECU. If voltmeter indicates approximately 5 volts, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect test harness between ECU and vehicle wire harness. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between terminals D17 and D21. If voltage is not approximately as specified in MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE  table, check sensor output wire (White) between MAP sensor and ECU. If wire is okay, replace MAP sensor.
