Power Circuits

  1. Check for battery voltage between ECU terminal D1 and ground. If battery voltage is not present, check BACK UP fuse (located in underhood fuse block). If fuse is okay, check for an open in White/Yellow wire between fuse block and control unit.
  2. Set ignition switch to ON position. Check for battery voltage between ground and ECU terminals A25 and B1. If battery voltage is not present, check ECU fuse (located in underhood fuse block). If fuse is okay, check for an open in Yellow/Black wire between ECU terminals A25 and B1 and main relay, defective main relay, or defective ignition switch.
  3. Connect voltmeter between ground and ECU terminal B9. Hold ignition switch in START position. Battery voltage should be present between ECU terminal B9 and ground ONLY when ignition switch is in START position.
  4. If voltage is not present, check fuse No. 18 (located in underdash fuse block). If fuse is okay, check for an open in Blue/White wire between fuse No. 18 and terminal B9 of ECU, or check for a defective ignition switch.
