Removal (Integra)

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove left and right lower covers from instrument panel. Remove front console. Remove left side knee bolster from steering hanger.
  2. Remove steering joint cover. See Figure. Remove steering shaft joint pinch bolts. Mark steering joint-to-pinion shaft for installation reference, and remove steering joint.
  3. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove turn signal canceling sleeve and combination switch assembly. Ensure all wire harness connectors are disconnected. Remove steering column assembly.
