Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV)

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug 2-wire connector on EACV. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Yellow/Black wire terminal of EACV connector and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between EACV connector and main relay. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
  2. Connect PGM-FI test harness connector "A" to main wire harness only. DO NOT  connect to ECU. Turn ignition on. Momentarily connect and disconnect jumper wire between terminals A9 and A26. If EACV does not click, check Black/Blue wire between EACV and ECU terminal A9. If wire is okay, replace EACV. If EACV clicks, substitute a known good EACV and recheck symptom.
