Function Test

  1. Remove lower cover from instrument panel. Carefully pry sun roof control switch from instrument panel. Unplug connector. Check for continuity between Black connector terminal and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire or poor ground connection.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check for voltage between Green and Black wires at connector. If battery voltage exists, go to step 3). If battery voltage does not exist, check for defective fuses No. 15 or No. 16, open in Green/Black, Green, or White wires, or faulty relay.
  3. Turn ignition off. Connect jumper wire between Green and Green/Yellow wires. Connect Green/Red and Black wires. See Fig 1 Turn ignition on. If sun roof opens, test switch. See SWITCH TEST. If sun roof does not open, test motor. See MOTOR TEST.
