Power Steering Pressure (PSP) Switch

  1. Unplug PSP switch connector, located near front of engine. Check continuity through PSP switch. With front wheels stationary, switch should be closed. Turn steering wheel left and right, and ensure switch is open. If continuity is not as specified, replace PSP switch.
  2. To check wiring harness, unplug PSP switch 2-wire connector. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage between PSP switch terminals. If no voltage is present, repair open in wire(s). If wires are okay, substitute a known-good ECM. If problem goes away, replace ECM.
