Intake Air Control Valve (IACV)

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug 2-wire connector on IACV. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Yellow/Black wire terminal of IACV connector and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between IACV connector and main relay. If battery voltage is present, go to step 2.
  2. Connect ECM test harness connector "A" to main wire harness only. DO NOT  connect to ECM. Turn ignition on. Momentarily connect and disconnect jumper wire between terminals A9 and A23. See Figure . If IACV clicks, substitute a known-good IACV and recheck symptom. If IACV does not click, check Yellow/Blue wire between IACV and ECM terminal A9. If wire is okay, replace IACV.
