Code 1 Or 2: Ho2S

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove ACG fuse (No. 15, 7.5-amp) from underdash fuse box for 10 seconds to reset ECM. Start engine, and warm it until cooling fan comes on.
  2. Road test vehicle. Place M/T in 4th gear (A/T in 2nd). With engine speed at 1200 RPM, accelerate at wide open throttle for at least 5 seconds and then decelerate with throttle fully closed for at least 5 seconds.
  3. Check ECM for fault codes. If no codes are present, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connections at HO2S and ECM connector. If Code 1 or 2 is present, go to CODE 43 OR 44.
