Modulator Function Check
NOTE:
Bleed high-pressure fluid from modulator unit before performing modulator function check. See RELIEVING SYSTEM PRESSURE under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
- Bleed high-pressure fluid from modulator unit. See RELIEVING SYSTEM PRESSURE under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Raise and support vehicle with safety stands. Have an assistant depress brake pedal firmly. Ensure wheels cannot be rotated. Remove cap and slowly fill reservoir to MAX level with clean brake fluid.
- Wait a few minutes, then start engine and allow to idle for a few minutes. Turn engine off. Check brake fluid in reservoir. Fluid should be below MAX level. Fill reservoir to MAX level with clean fluid. Start engine and ensure ANTI-LOCK light goes off.
