Code 1: Ho2S

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove BACK-UP fuse (7.5-amp) from underhood fuse/relay box for 10 seconds to reset ECM. Start engine, and warm it to normal operating temperature.
  2. Road test vehicle. With M/T in 4th gear (A/T in 2nd), accelerate at wide open throttle for at least 5 seconds and then decelerate, with throttle fully closed, for at least 5 seconds.
  3. If MIL is not on, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connections at HO2S and ECM connector. If MIL is on and Code 1 is indicated, go to CODE 43.
