Code 1-4, Pressure Switch
- Bleed high pressure fluid from modulator. See RELIEVING SYSTEM PRESSURE. Disconnect modulator 14-pin connector. Check continuity between modulator connector Yellow wire and Black wire terminals. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, visually inspect modulator wire harness. If wire harness is okay, replace modulator.
- Disconnect control unit 26-pin connector. Check continuity between Yellow wire terminal of control unit connector and ground. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, Yellow wire between control unit and modulator is shorted to ground.
- Reconnect control unit 26-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between control unit Yellow wire terminal and ground. If battery voltage is present, pressure switch signal is okay. If battery voltage is not present, check for loose control unit connectors. If connectors are okay, install known-good control unit and retest.
