Anti-Lock Warning Light
ANTI-LOCK warning light will come on for any of following reasons:
- Brake fluid pump runs longer than preset value.
- Vehicle driven longer than 30 seconds with parking brake applied.
- Rear wheels locked longer than specified time.
- Wheel speed sensor not transmitting a signal.
- Operation time of solenoid valves exceeds a specified value or solenoid circuit is open.
- Output signals from control unit are not transmitted to solenoid valves.
- Strong radio frequency interference.
- Temporary loss of traction due to excessive cornering speed or starting from stuck condition (mud, snow or sand).
- Vehicle driven on extremely rough road.
- Low battery voltage.
If low battery voltage caused problem, recharge battery. Remove ABS fuse No. 2 for 3 seconds. Reinstall fuse, and check light. To reset light for any other condition, turn ignition off. ABS is okay if light goes our after engine is started. If light remains on, check system for trouble codes. See RETRIEVING CODES.
