Code P0113 - IAT Sensor High Input
- Connect and operate scan tester, following manufacturer's instructions. Turn ignition on. Read intake air temperature. If indicated intake air temperature is less than -22°F (-30°C), go to next step. If indicated intake air temperature is not less than -22°F (-30°C), problem is intermittent. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires at IAT sensor and ECM, then repair as necessary.
- Read ambient temperature. If indicated ambient temperature is approximately the same as actual ambient temperature, temporarily substitute known good MAF sensor, then retest system. If indicated ambient temperature is not approximately the same as actual ambient temperature, problem is intermittent. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires at IAT sensor and ECM, then repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug MAF sensor. Connect Green/Blue and Red/Yellow wires together at MAF sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Read intake air temperature. If indicated intake air temperature is less than -22°F (-30°C), go to next step. If indicated intake air temperature is not less than -22°F (-30°C), temporarily substitute known good MAF sensor, then retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Connect ECM harness connector terminals D8 (Red/Yellow wire) and D22 (Green/Blue wire). Turn ignition on. Read intake air temperature. If indicated intake air temperature is not less than -22°F (-30°C), repair open Red/Yellow or Green/Blue wire. If indicated intake air temperature is less than -22°F (-30°C), temporarily substitute known good ECM, then retest system.
