Code P0332 - Rear Knock Sensor Low Input

  1. Connect and operate scan tester, following manufacturer's instructions. Clear codes. Turn ignition on. Retrieve codes. If Code P0332 appears, go to next step. If Code P0332 does not appear, problem is intermittent. Inspect for loose sensor, poor connections, or loose wires associated with rear knock sensor, then repair as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition off. Unplug rear knock sensor connector. Measure resistance between sensor terminal and ground. If resistance is 504-616 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 504-616 ohms, replace knock sensor.
  3. Unplug 12-pin ECM connector. Test for continuity between ECM harness connector pin No. 1 (White/Green wire) and ground. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, repair White/Green wire. If continuity does not exist, temporarily substitute known good ECM, then retest system.
