Code 1-4: Pressure Switch

  1. Bleed high pressure fluid from modulator. See RELIEVING SYSTEM PRESSURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Disconnect modulator 14-pin connector. Check continuity between modulator connector Yellow wire and Black wire terminals. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, visually inspect modulator wire harness. If wire harness is okay, replace modulator.
  2. Disconnect ABS control unit 26-pin connector. Check continuity between Yellow wire terminal of ABS control unit connector and ground. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, Yellow wire between ABS control unit and modulator is shorted to ground.
  3. Check for loose ABS control unit connectors. If connectors are okay, install known-good ABS control unit and retest.
