Fail-Safe Relay

Relay is located in underhood fuse/relay box, next to battery. Disconnect relay from socket. Ensure continuity does not exist between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 2 and 4. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage between relay terminals No. 2 and 4. Ensure continuity exists between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay.
