Retrieving Codes
- Connect SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100) to 2-pin service check connector located under glove box. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition switch to ON position (without starting engine). TCS indicator light comes on for a bulb check. Record blinking TCS indicator light sequence.
- After bulb check, TCS indicator light will turn off for 0.5-2.5 seconds, then begin indicating first DTC. See Fig 2 . Three different DTCs can be stored at once. TCS control unit will not store the same DTC more than one time. DTC cycles will be repeated after a 3.3 second pause. To recheck DTCs, turn ignition off and then turn it on again. After DTCs have been retrieved, clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES . Perform test procedures in flow charts. See appropriate test under CIRCUIT TESTS .
NOTE:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will stay on after engine is started if SCS service connector is connected.
