DTC P0106 - Map Sensor Range/Performance
- Clear codes. Run engine at 1000 RPM for at least one minute. Retrieve codes. If DTC P0106 appears, go to step 3). If DTC P0106 does not appear, turn ignition off and check MAP sensor output data with scan tool. If atmospheric pressure is indicated, go to next step. If atmospheric is not indicated, replace MAP sensor. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires associated with MAP sensor and PCM, repair as necessary.
- Start engine and hold engine speed at 3000 RPM until radiator fan comes on. Turn engine off. Start engine and recheck MAP sensor data with scan tool. If MAP data does not indicate 12.0 in. Hg (40.0 kPa) within one second after starting engine, replace defective MAP sensor.
- Check vacuum hose between throttle body and MAP sensor for leakage and repair if necessary. If MAP sensor vacuum hose and connections are okay, go to next step.
- Stop engine. Turn ignition on. Check MAP sensor data with scan tool. If atmospheric pressure is indicated, go to next step. If atmospheric pressure is not indicated, replace MAP sensor.NOTE: When substituting a known-good PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten using Honda PGM tester, or engine will not start.
