Instrument Panel Fuse/Relay Box
NOTE:
Obtain anti-theft security code for radio from vehicle owner. List frequencies for radio preset buttons before disconnecting battery. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) idle control memory must be reset when battery is disconnected. See RESETTING PCM IDLE MEMORY

- Deactivate air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Disconnect negative battery cable and then positive battery cable. WAIT at least 3 minutes before beginning repairs under instrument panel. Release double lock and disconnect air bag connectors at fuse/relay box.
- Remove instrument panel lower cover. Remove mounting nut and bolt, and remove instrument panel fuse/relay box. To install reverse removal procedures. After connecting battery cables reset PCM idle memory. See RESETTING PCM IDLE MEMORY .
