Removal & Installation
Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT section. Remove steering wheel and combination switch. See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT section. Remove circlip and steering angle sensor from combination switch. See Fig 1 . To install, reverse removal procedure. DO NOT apply grease or oil to steering angle sensor. Perform steering angle sensor test and ensure proper steering angle sensor operation. See STEERING ANGLE SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTS.
