Bench Testing: Rotor

Ensure rotor bearings rotate smoothly. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between slip rings and rotor, individually. Check continuity between slip rings and rotor shaft, individually. Refer to Fig 1 . If continuity exists, replace rotor. Check resistance between slip rings. Resistance should be 2.9 ohms. Replace rotor if resistance is not to specification.
