Multiplex Communication Functions
Multiplex control system reduces the number of wire harnesses by sending digital signals over shared multiplex communication lines. A CPU converts input signals from each switch to digital signals, and transmits these as serial signals. Transmitted serial signals from multiplex control units are converted to switch signals for switch operation. There are 3 dedicated communication lines between multiplex control units. From door unit to driver's unit Gray 20-pin connector terminal No. 15 (Brown/Yellow wire), from driver's unit Gray 26-pin connector terminal B9 (Brown/White wire) to passenger's unit, and from passenger's unit to driver's unit Gray 26-pin connector terminal A9 (Red/Yellow wire).
