2.3CL & 3.0CL

Disable air bag. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Remove driver's side kick panel. Disconnect ICU 16-pin connector. Remove ICU from underdash fuse/relay box. Inspect connector terminals and ICU socket for damage. Test each circuit of ICU connector for continuity or voltage as indicated. See Fig 1 , Fig 2 and Fig 3 . Correct any problems found. If no problems are found, replace ICU.
