Starter Switch Signal: 2.3CL
Backprobing, measure voltage between PCM 25-pin connector terminal No. 20 (Brown/Black wire) and PCM 32-pin connector terminal No. 24 (Blue/Red wire) with ignition switch in START position. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, starter signal is okay. If battery voltage is not present, inspect STARTER SIGNAL fuse No. 9 (7.5-amp) located in underdash fuse/relay box. If fuse is okay, repair open in Blue/Red wire between PCM 32-pin connector and STARTER SIGNAL fuse No. 9. If fuse is blown, repair short in Blue/Red wire between PCM 32-pin connector and STARTER SIGNAL fuse No. 9 or PGM-FI main relay. Replace STARTER SIGNAL fuse No. 9.
