Remove dashboard lower cover and knee bolster. Disconnect main harness 8-pin connector. Using DVOM, check for continuity between main harness 8-pin connector terminals No. 5 and 8. See Fig 1. Continuity should be indicated with key in ignition switch. Continuity should not be indicated with key out of ignition switch. If continuity is not as indicated, replace ignition switch.
