Preliminary Inspection

Check generator wiring harness connections and drive belt tension. Ensure battery is fully charged. Check fuses. See CHARGING SYSTEM FUSE LOCATIONS  table. Replace fuse(s) as necessary. Turn ignition on. Charging system light should illuminate. If charging system light does not illuminate, check for blown charging system light bulb. Replace bulb if necessary.
