Ignition Control Module: Notes

NOTE: If MIL comes on, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article. Before preforming IGNITION CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST, ensure ignition, fuel and emissions systems are operating properly. Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located in distributor housing. See Figure-Figure .

NOTE: Manufacturer does not provide tests for the ICM, they provide a series of input test to ensure the rest of the system is working properly before replacing components. If all tests check okay, the ICM should be replaced. Odyssey and SLX are not equipped with an ICM.
