Driver's Power Window Motor

  1. Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect power window motor 4-pin connector. Using a fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to power window motor connector terminal No. 2 (Red/Yellow or Red wire). Using another jumper wire, ground power window motor connector terminal No. 1 (Red/Blue or Green wire). Power window motor should run smoothly up. When polarity is reversed, power window motor should run smoothly down. If power window motor does not run smoothly in both directions, replace power window motor. If power window motor runs smoothly in both directions, test driver's power window motor pulser. Go to next step.
  2. Connect analog ohmmeter between power window motor 4-pin connector terminals No. 3 (Blue wire) and No. 4 (Black wire). Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to 4-pin connector terminal No. 1 (Red/Blue or Green wire) and ground to terminal No. 2 (Red/Yellow or Red wire). If ohmmeter needle does not swing back and forth while motor operates, replace motor.
