Parking Brake

NOTE: Before adjusting parking brake, loosen parking brake adjusting nut under rear console. Start engine, and depress brake pedal several times to set self-adjusting brakes before adjusting parking brake.

With rear brakes adjusted correctly, raise and support rear of vehicle. Be sure parking brake arm on rear caliper contacts brake caliper pin. See Fig 1. Remove rear console for access to parking brake adjusting nut. Pull parking brake lever up one notch. Tighten adjusting nut until rear wheels drag slightly. Release parking brake lever. Rear wheels should rotate freely. Rear wheels should lock when parking brake lever is pulled up 6-10 clicks. Reinstall rear console.
