Preliminary Check

  1. Ensure fuse No. 9 (7.5-amp) located in driver's underdash fuse/relay box and fuse No. 13 (15-amp) located in passenger's underdash fuse/relay box are not blown. If fuses are blown, locate and repair cause of blown fuse. If fuses are okay, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Repair as necessary.
  2. If DTCs are not present, test circuits between individual switch and related multiplex control unit. Go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE 2  under SYSTEM TESTS. Multiplex control unit can fail without setting a DTC.
