Integra (Using Scan Tool)
- Road test vehicle with scan tool connected. If indicated speed is not correct, go to next step. If indicated speed is correct, problem is intermittent, system okay at this time. Check for poor connection(s) or loose wire(s) between PCM 25-pin harness connector and (VSS) 3-pin harness connector.
- Turn ignition off. Block rear wheels and set parking brake. Lift and support front of vehicle. Turn ignition on. Block right front wheel and slowly rotate left front wheel. Measure voltage between PCM 31-pin harness connector terminal No. 23 and PCM 25-pin harness connector terminal No. 20. If voltage does not pulse between 0 volt and 5 volts or battery voltage, go to next step. If voltage pulses between 0 volt and 5 volts or battery voltage, Cut temporary key from a non-immobilizer key blank and tape donor vehicle key to it backwards in order to deactivate immobilizer system during testing. Substitute known-good PCM, then recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.

If voltage does not pulse between 0 volt and 5 volts or battery voltage, check for open or short in wire between PCM 31-pin harness connector terminal No. 23 (Orange wire) and VSS 3-pin harness connector terminal No. 3 (Blue/White wire). Repair as necessary and recheck system. If wire is okay, go to INTEGRA (USING DVOM) .
