Left Mirror Inoperative

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "I" (Black/Yellow wire) and terminal "G" (Yellow/Red wire). See Figure. Connect a second fused jumper wire between terminal "E" (Yellow/White wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. Left mirror should tilt down. If mirror does not tilt down, check for open in Yellow/White wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wire is okay, go to next step.
  2. Move second fused jumper wire from terminal "E" (Yellow/White wire) to terminal "D" (Yellow/Black wire). Left mirror should swing left. If mirror does not swing left, check for open in Yellow/Black wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror. If wire is okay, check left mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. If mirror does not tilt down and does not swing left, check for open in Yellow/Red wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror. If mirror operates properly, check power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS.
