Driver's Power Window Motor

NOTE: When motor stops running in either UP or DOWN direction, disconnect jumper wire immediately to prevent damage to motor.
  1. Remove door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect power window motor 4-pin connector. Using fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to power window motor 4-pin connector terminal "B". Ground 4-pin connector terminal "A". See Fig 1 . Reverse jumper wires. Motor should run in UP and DOWN directions. If power window motor runs smoothly in both directions, test driver's power window motor pulser. Go to next step. If power window motor does not run smoothly in both directions, replace power window motor.
  2. Connect analog ohmmeter between power window motor 4-pin connector terminals "C" and "D". See Fig 1 . Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to power window motor 4-pin connector terminal "B". Ground 4-pin connector terminal "A". If ohmmeter needle does not swing back and forth while motor operates, replace motor.
