Starter Switch Signal: 3.5RL

Measure voltage by backprobing between PCM 26-pin harness connector terminal No. 26 (Brown/Black wire) and PCM 12-pin harness connector terminal No. 6 (Blue/Red wire) with ignition switch in START position. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, starter signal is okay. If battery voltage is not present, inspect fuse No. 14 (7.5-amp) in underdash fuse/relay box. If fuse is okay, repair open in Blue/Red wire between PCM 12-pin harness connector terminal No. 6 and fuse No. 14 (7.5 amp). If fuse is blown, repair short in Blue/Red wire between PCM 12-pin harness connector terminal No. 6 and fuse No. 14 (7.5 amp) or PGM-FI main relay. Replace fuse.
