ECT Sensor Replacement

  1. When the engine is cool, drain the coolant from the radiator (see COOLANT CHECK ).
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Disconnect the ECT sensor 2P connector.
  4. Remove the ECT sensor (A).

  5. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (B).
  6. Refill the cooling system (see COOLANT CHECK ).
