Immobilizer System Function Test
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with immobilizer system, engine start time will be slightly longer than on vehicles without immobilizer system.
- Ensure transmission selector is in PARK position and brake pedal is depressed. Insert key into ignition switch and turn to START position. System indicator light will illuminate for 2 seconds and go out. Engine should start.
- If system indicator light begins to flash after 2 seconds or engine does not start, remove key and repeat starting procedure. If engine still does not start, perform IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM TEST .
