Draining & Refilling
NOTE:
Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.
- Bring the transaxle up to operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on) by driving the vehicle.
- Park the vehicle on level ground, and turn the engine off.
- Remove the ATF filler bolt and drain plug, and drain. See Fig 1 .
- Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer.
- Tighten drain plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Refill the transmission with the recommended fluid into the filler hole "A" to the upper mark on the dipstick. See CHECKING FLUID LEVEL . See Figure .
- Install the ATF filler bolt "B" with anew sealing washer "C".
- Tighten filler bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
