DTC B1837: Power Seat Position Memory Recall Error
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
- Operate the power seat with the power seat adjustment switch.
- Operate the power seat with the driving position memory switch.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 1837 indicated?
- YES - Go to step 6.
- NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Check for other DTCs.
Is any other DTC indicated?
- YES - Go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
- NO - Go to step 7.
- Remove the driver's power seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Test the power seat motors (see
DRIVER'S POWER SEAT MOTOR TEST ).
Are the power seat motors OK?
- YES - Replace the power seat control unit.
- NO - Replace the faulty power seat motor(s).
