DTC B1809: Power Seat Control Unit Lost Communication with Door Multiplex Control Unit (Memory Switch Message)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1809 indicated?
- YES - Go to step 4.
- NO - Check for poor connections. If OK, check battery condition and charging system.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1006, B1058, and B1160 indicated?
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Do the POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST
.
Is the input test OK?
- YES - Faulty power seat control unit.
- NO - Refer to the POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST and correct the cause.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Do the DOOR MULTIPLEX CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST
.
Is the input test OK?
- YES - Faulty door multiplex control unit.
- NO - Refer to the door multiplex control unit input test and correct the cause.
