ECT Sensor 1 Replacement: Notes
- Drain the engine coolant (see COOLANT CHECK ).
- Remove the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the charge air cooler (see REMOVAL ).
- Remove the ignition coil cover (A) and bolt (B).
- Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (C), CMP sensor A connector (D), CMP sensor B connector (E), and the EVAP canister purge valve connector (F).
- Remove the harness holder (G).NOTE: Be careful not to damage the ECT sensor 1 harness.
- Disconnect the ECT sensor 1 connector (A).
- Remove ECT sensor 1 (B).
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C), then refill the radiator with engine coolant (see COOLANT CHECK ).
