Park Pin Switch Test
- Remove the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REAR SECTION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the transmission gear selection switch/ park pin switch/A/T gear position indicator panel light connector.

Terminal side of male terminals
- Shift the shift lever into P, then check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 4. There should be no continuity.
- Shift out of P, and check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 4. There should be continuity.
- If the park pin switch fails the test, replace it.
- Install the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REAR SECTION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
